The new 2008 Board of Directors held their first meeting on November 27, 2008. Elections were held for board positions and various committee chairmen. The following are the results;

Minutes from Board Meeting;
Membership dues will remain at $85.00. There will be a cap of (80) eighty on the number of members with a waiting list established. It was agreed to investigate the use of our website for tournament scheduling, sign up and scoring. The Tournament committee will beginning meetings in January and present the 2008 tournament schedule to the board for review, the 4th week of February. A holiday party was scheduled to include collection of Toys for Tots gifts.
The hard work of the various committee’s are what makes our association so successful. It takes a terrific effort from all committee members to run the many tournaments we have each year. The committee chairmen would appreciate any volunteers wishing to serve on the listed committees. If you are interested you can contact any of the board members to sign up.
I’m sure you will all agree that the 2007 season was a huge success. Membership hit a new record. The number of different tournament winners was the highest of any past season and tournament participation was unequaled. Your comments and suggestions for the 2008 season would be appreciated.
In the coming months we will be sending communication regarding the membership drive and the schedule of tournaments for the 2008 season. We look forward to another exciting season in 2008.
On a final note it is with deep sadness that I announce the passing of Tom Tully. Tom was a Charter member of High Bridge Hills Golf Course and also a member of our golf association from its inception. Tom passed away on December 27, 2007. The association has sent flowers and his name will be added to the Sekula Memorial bench on the fourth hole. The tournament committee will also consider naming one of our tournaments in his honor.
